Style Obsession: Electric Pineapple

This season is all about color, color and more color – the brighter the better and there’s no easier way to heat up your wardrobe than with summer’s hottest hues of neon pink, fluorescent green, or my favorite, electric pineapple.

I love this trend because it’s a simple way to transform any outfit. All you really need is one piece, such as a necklace or a blouse to make your outfit stand out. If you’re a little more of a risk-taker, you can pair it with another bright color for a really sizzling look!

My go-to color this summer is electric pineapple. I wear it on my toes, on my bags, even as a fragrance, I just love the color!  My favorite way to wear the color is by mixing and matching different shades, textures and prints together.

When to start wearing white..

As the saying goes, “You shouldn’t wear white after Labor day,” but my question to you is, when can we start?

I was looking through my over-stuffed closet and realized that my last few purchases were white tops and it occurred to me.. Are people wearing white yet? Upon doing my research I discovered that people associate Memorial Day with the beginning of summer, thus the beginning of white tops, jeans, shoes, etc! While I’m thrilled that it’s now acceptable in the fashion world to start wearing white, I’m more thrilled that this rule is starting to fade. I understand why most people aren’t wearing white in the winter but I was definitely wearing it before Memorial Day. My point is this: I want to see a white out. The aztec patterns, floral prints and neon colors are just a few things I’ve enjoyed this spring but I love a classic white blouse or white jeans paired with said floral printed top. So let’s see it Buffalo!

We can start with a few pieces from my closet..

Ray Ban Celebrates 75 Years!

Ray Ban Celebrates its 75th anniversary with a new campaign and a new collection, honoring its storied history, Women’s Wear Daily reports.

The new, Ambermatic collection of Ray-Bans’s were inspired by the first aviator sunglasses, which were released in 1937. The collection features four new, aviator style frames and a light-sensitive yellow lens that darkens depending on light and temperature conditions. (Sa-weeeet, no more squinting!)

The Legends campaign will accompany the launch of the Ambermatic collection, featuring the 75-year spirit of the “Never Hide” motto. The photos capture seven historic moments and many controversial moments in American history, spanning from the ’30s to the ’90s. “The pieces around this anniversary, the ad campaign, the Ambermatic, and ‘Untold Stories,’ are created to tell the brand story and serve as reminders of why consumers fell in love with the Ray-Ban in the first place,” said Fabio D’Angelantonio, who is the chief marketing officer at Luxottica, Ray-Ban’s parent company.

The Ambermatic collection is set to hit Sunglass Hut and department stores nationwide in June for $219.
